    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • No written procedures for the following: - Cleansing of the skin - Accidental cut/puncture - Post-service care for accidental cut and puncture Ensure these written procedures are completed and adhered to. An AHS template was provided to the operator.
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • The alcohol-based hand rub (ABHR) expired in 2024. There is a designated sink for hand washing. The ABHR should not be used once it has expired as the effectiveness of the product to sanitize the hands cannot be guaranteed. Obtain an ABHR with an alcohol content between 60% to 90% and ensure the expiration date is regularly monitored. The operator discarded the expired ABHR at the time of the inspection.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Several cosmetic products were decanted into another container and did not have a label. The operator did not have the original container. Cosmetic products must have a label to indicate the instructions for use and the list of ingredients. Ensure cosmetic products are properly labeled for safe usage.The operator discarded the product at the time of the inspection.
