About this site
Public inspection records, made readable
Local Health Inspections is an independent site that brings together the restaurant and facility inspection results that public health authorities publish. Every authority publishes differently: some run searchable portals, some release open-data files, and some post individual reports. That makes it hard to find a single report, let alone compare two places.
We collect those records from 48 health authorities across Canada and the United States, refresh them regularly, and link every facility back to its official source. On each facility page we explain the findings in plain language: which violations are higher risk, whether the record is improving, and what a clean report does and does not tell you.
We are not affiliated with any health authority. The official record is always the final word, and each result reflects conditions on the day of that inspection.
