      • Observed the operator smoking inside the facility by the dining area.Correction:-Ashtray and cigarettes were removed.-Ensure there is no smoking inside the food facility including food handling area and dining area.

      • Expired food permit was displayed.Correction:-Ensure that the most recent food handling permit is displayed.

      • Sanitizer bucket was not prepared - corrected onsite.

      • Raw meat was stored next to produce in a non-working cooler. Raw meat was moved into another cooler on the bottom shelf.

      • Fume hood canopy is overdue for professional cleaning, was due September 2024. Owner indicated the company is coming tonight.

      • -Chemical based dishwasher was measured at 0 ppm. It was observed that the sanitizer pail was empty.Action taken:-New sanitizer pail was connected to the dishwasher and run for 2-3 times. After that, the chlorine concentration was measured at 100 ppm. -Staff instructed to redo the dishes.

      • -Inside the walk-in coolers and a freezer, the food item present in a container were observed directly stored on the floor.Action required:-Staff was instructed to store all the food items above the ground to prevent food contamination.
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • -Chemical based dishwasher was measured art 25 ppm chlorine.Action required:-Get the dishwasher servicing. It must be pouring 100 ppm chlorine for adequate sanitation of the dishes.-Staff was instructed to use manual 3 sink method for washing dishes until the dishwasher get repaired by the technician.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • -Pest control records were not maintained.Action taken:-Education was provided to do a monthly monitoring of the pest and record/document the findings.-Pest control checklist will be provided to the operator via email.

      • A can of pulp of roasted eggplant is observed with a large dent. Ensure that all damaged and/or dented cans are not sold to the public. The operator voluntarily discarded the damaged can during the inspection.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • The chlorine test strips are observed to be expired. Ensure that new test strips are acquired.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • No written pest control record is observed. Ensure that written pest control documentation is completed and available on-site. The operator completed the AHS Pest Control checklist during the inspection.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • 1. A buildup of dust is observed on the metal shelving in the walk-in cooler. 2. The two stainless-steel utensil storage drawers below the food prep counter in the front food prep area are observed with a buildup of food debris. 1-2. Ensure that the indicated areas are cleaned and sanitized.
