      • Inspector observed food handler washing the utensils used for meat cutting in the utility sink inside the janitorial room. The utility sink and environment were inadequate for washing food utensils and equipment. Inspector instructed food handler and the operator to use the two-compartment sinks provided in the vendor's kitchen. This is to prevent cross contamination of the food utensils and equipment during dishwashing.

      • Several canned foods displayed in the grocery section shelves were past their best before dates. Cans were removed from the shelves during inspection.Rotate food stocks in storage areas frequently to ensure that the "first-in-first-out” rule is followed.

      • Several cans of beans were in the grocery section were past their best before dates. Cans were discarded during inspection. Regularly check foods on display for best before / expiration dates. Remove foods that have passed their best before dates from display.

      • Interior surfaces of the drinks cooler in the grocery area was insanitary with stains and signs of mould growth. On site staff removed foods and drinks from cooler and sprayed surfaces with food grade disinfectant during inspection. Ensure cooler is regularly cleaned and inspected for further contamination.

Foods were removed from the shelves during inspection.Ensure that food products' best before and expiry dates are monitored regularly and apply the first-in/first-out method to ensure food safety.
