    • 02. Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?
      • The facility has not notified the health authority of its operation. A Personal Service Notification shall be completed. A link to the Notification will be provided in the email with this report. A personal service facility shall notify the health authority of its operation and services offered.
    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Facility specific written procedures have not been completed. Templates of the procedures will be emailed with this report. The procedures which applied to the facility shall be filled out, and staff informed of the content. These procedures shall be kept up to date and shared with all staff working in the facility.
    • 06. Do operators and personal services workers comply with the Personal Services Regulation and Standards and do they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties in a safe and sanitary manner?
      • The operator is not aware of what is a non-critical, semi-critical and critical instrument/surface. The operator shall ensure that all equipment types are classified properly so they can be disinfected at the proper level.
    • 12. Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?
      • Disinfection records for critical instruments are not available. Disinfection records made and kept for 2 years for any critical instrument disinfection.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Reuseable equipment is being sanitized in a 70% alcohol solution. Low, intermediate and high-level disinfectant must have a DIN or MDL identification, with directions for their use. Approved disinfectant shall be obtained.A low-level disinfectant is required on non-critical surfaces and equipment that only touch hair or intact skin.Intermediate disinfectants are required on reuseable equipment that is used on the feet, including pedicure foot baths.High level disinfectants are required on equipment that can touch non-intact skin, including when equipment accidentally draws blood, or mucous membranes (around eyes).
