    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Hard copy of written procedures are not onsite. Reviewed digital copy with operator. The following need more information - use of antiseptic: provide information on antiseptic product to be used. Ensure it has a DIN or NPN- procedures for cleaning reprocessing sink (this is a shared sink with other operators)- include on procedures for accidental injury/cut- the procedures and products used (ie. first aid products)
    • 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
      • La Palm 70% alcohol does not have a DIN or NPN. Replace product with an a DIN or NPN for use as an antiseptic product.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Metal drill bits were disinfected in alcohol. Discussed with operator to use PreEmpt CS20 for disinfecting metal drill bits.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • Soft furnishings (cushion for hand rest & the matting on desk top) was stained from nail polish.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • Log sheet for reprocessing semi-critical equipment (clippers, pushers, nippers) was not onsite for review.
