    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • The piercing station has been relocated to a designated room equipped with a sink for both reprocessing and handwashing. Please proceed with the following steps:- Obtain a larger ultrasonic cleaner to accommodate the piercing clamps. Be sure to use a cleaning solution recommended by the ultrasonic cleaner's manufacturer.- Acquire a suitable container for storing cleaned and disinfected instruments, and clearly label it to identify its contents.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The operator purchased a BoNew sterilizer, which does not have a medical device license. Please note that a sterilizer is not required for reprocessing the piercing clamps.To ensure proper disinfection, please proceed with the following steps:- Obtain a high-level disinfectant (e.g., Preempt HLD5 or CS20) for disinfecting piercing clamps that come into contact with mucous membranes (e.g., mouth, nose).- Acquire the appropriate test strips to monitor the concentration of the selected high-level disinfectant.

      • 1. Piercing clamps are cleaned and disinfected with Cavicide.2. Piercing clamps are scattered openly on the table by the client bed.1. Piercing clamps must be cleaned with soap and water at a designated reprocessing sink before disinfection. 2. Please store cleaned and disinfected tools within a cleanable container to prevent it from possible contamination.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. Piercing clamps are disinfected with Cavicide. Semi-critical items must be disinfected with minimum, a high level disinfectant. Cavicide is not a high level disinfectant.
    • 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
      • The piercing jewelries packages that are sterilized by Piercing King does not have lot number and expiry on the packages. Lot# and expiry date must be recorded with client information for record of sterility assurance.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • 1. Several inks on the shelf for staff use were past their best before dates: March 2024, May 2023, November 2023, and July 2024. Please review the inventory and ensure expired inks are discarded accordingly.2. Cavicide spray bottles are topped up. Please ensure bottles are washed, rinsed and dried before each refill.3. Distilled water is used for diluting ink. Please use only sterile water for diluting ink. Distilled water is not considered sterile.
