- Drawers and cabinets were disorganized. Dust was observed on surfaces in the drawers and storage bins. There were several tools that are not being used stored in the facility. Organize and clean the drawers and cabinets. Remove items that are not being used from the facility.

- Single use nail files, toe separators, and nail buffers were stored in the clean equipment drawer/ manicure trolley. This is an indication that the operator is re-using single-use disposable product. ** Please ensure all single-use disposable product are properly disposed of and not being re-used on clients.

There was a container with CS20 by the equipment reprocessing sink, and inside that container was physical debris - an indication that tools are not being properly cleaned before soaking in disinfectant solution. ** Please ensure all tools are cleaned first, before disinfection procedures begin. 2. The jars of barbicide on the counters were full of hair and other debris- which is an indication that the tools /combs are not being cleaned first before disinfection. ** Please ensure all tools/combs are cleaned first, before disinfection procedures begin.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- 1. The CS20 product that was available on site was expired in 2021. ** Purchase new product that is not expired. 2. The inspector was unable to find any test strips, or logs indicating the operator is monitoring the concentration of the product being used for disinfection. ** If CS20 is being reused( ie not disposed of daily), then ensure test strips are purchased and on site for use, and that the concentration of the product is being logged for monitoring. 3. A comb was only half submerged in the barbicide solution, and the barbicide was only half full in the container. ** Ensure the barbicide solution is being diluted according to the manufacturer's instructions, changed daily, and that tools/ equipment being disinfected with the solution is fully immersed in solution.
