      • The commercial dishwasher door and gasket was observed with a build-up of grime and debris. An operator cleaned the door and gasket. Ensure that all equipment is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.

      • The bottled quaternary ammonium sanitizer for the dining tables was measured at 0ppm. The sanitizer dispenser used to refill the bottles at the 2-basin sink was also measured at 0ppm. Sanitizer buckets in the kitchen were measured at 200ppm, facility operator indicated the sanitizer buckets are filled from the storage room dispenser. The facility operator was instructed to refill the sanitizer bottles from the storage room dispenser. Ensure that every sanitizer solution is tested using the sanitizer specific test strips to verify effective sanitation.

      • The coffee table was observed with exposed swelling of the wood-like material.Repair or replace the table to be a smooth, durable, and moisture resistant surface.Note: Management has advised that the table replacement has been purchased.

      • A beetle-like insect was observed in a drawer filled with utensils. Facility operator removed the insect and cleaned and sanitized the drawer.Ensure that the facility is free from pests.

      • The scoop for coffee grounds were stored with the scoop handle touching the food item. Facility operator removed the scoop from the food container.Ensure that all food is protected from contamination by storing the scoop with the handle not touching the food item.

      • A dead cockroach was observed on a sticky trap underneath the dishwashing area. The supervisor had indicated that an extensive integrated pest management treatment was in place to combat the issue. Ensure that the facility and surrounding areas are kept free of pests, and conditions that encourage the harbouring of pests are eliminated.
