      • Bottles of chemicals in food handling areas were not labeled with their contents. Label all chemicals used in food handling areas.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • A probe or infrared thermometer was not available onsite at the time of inspection. Ensure an accurate thermometer is available to confirm the temperature of cooked product.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Test strips for diluted bleach chlorine sanitizer was not available at the time of inspection. Ensure sanitizer test strips are available for use to confirm sanitizer concentration.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • The weatherstripping at the backdoor of the bar was missing, creating a significant gap that could also for pest entry. Reinstall weatherstripping.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Several washroom deficiencies were noted onsite:-The men's trough-style urinal did not have an active water flow or other waste flushing mechanism-Water damage around area by men's washroom urinal-Damage to flooring of toilet area in men's washroom-One of the toilets in the women's washroom was not functional-Damage to wall/floor coving seals of women's washroomStaff advised renovation of washrooms were scheduled.

      • Food handling areas of the facility were modified without known approval from AHS. Send plans for any further renovations to district Public Health Inspector prior to construction.

      • Dead boxelder bug located in handwash sink at bar and occasional dead one around bar area.Clean up any dead insects and sanitize surfaces if contaminated.
