- Defrost the freezer to ensure proper airflow and temperature maintenance. The door frame of walk-in freezer observed open exposing the insulation and has ice built up. Repair the door frame.

- 19(3) A food establishment must have lighting, ventilation, heating, refrigeration and plumbing that is appropriate to the specific activities of the food establishment and that is considered acceptable by the Minister.
- Water observed pooling on the floors. Fix the water leak under the 3 basin sink set-up out back.

- 34 An operator must ensure that a food establishment is operated so that all food and food ingredients are processed, manufactured, handled, prepared, packaged, served, sold, offered for sale or distribution free of charge, dispensed, displayed and stored in a manner that prevents contamination and adulteration.
- Observed dented cans of broken mandarin orange segments, mixed fruit, fruit cocktails on the aisle for sale. Dents in cans can compromise the seal of the can, leading to contamination of the food items in the cans. Operator must ensure that dented cans are not displayed for sale on aisle.

- 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:
(e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
- In accordance with Section 2.9 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must ensure: all shelving and food is maintained a minimum of 15 cm (6 inches) off the floor;
- 29(2)(a) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done:
(a) the food establishment and equipment are maintained, cleaned and sanitized;
- Mold growth observed on the shelves on the aisles. Clean and sanitize the affected areas. Repaint the shelves to maintain them as easily cleanable and non-absorbent.
