      • The microbiological water sample submitted on 04/09/2025 was unsatisfactory: HPC >57000 CFU/mL. Operator noted that due to not washing hands after completing plumbing work the sample was contaminated. Advised operator to review sample process and ensure hands are washed to prevent further contamination. Based on chemical logs water chemistry was in range when tested by the operator. Operator stated they would send in a sample tomorrow.

      • The measured pH value was 7.67. The pH must be maintained at between 6.8 and 7.6. Make adjustments to the pool to ensure pH is maintained between the required range.

      • 1. The pH tested from the pool was 7.67 and the pH reading from the chemical controller was 6.9. The values were not consistent. Make the necessary adjustments to the chemical controller to ensure that the manual and controller readings are consistent.2. The free chlorine in the pool was at or above 6 ppm. Check to ensure that the chemical controller set points are adjusted to ensure the chlorine over doses what is needed to maintain a reasonable chlorine residual.

      • Pool liner is extensively rippled and discolored in sections. The unevenness of the liner makes it difficult to clean. The hotel controller confirmed that replacement of the liner is scheduled for September 2024

      • Microbiological water samples are not being submitted to the lab weekly. Ensure that water samples are submitted weekly. The last sample was submitted on April 5, 2024 and was satisfactory.

      • Total alkalinity was 24ppm. Adjust the alkalinity in the pool so that it is between 60 and 180 ppm.

      • The pool was cloudy and the main drains were dificult if not impossible to see in the deep end. Based on water chemical logs in the morning the free chlorine was low. Operator was instructed to close the pool until the clarity could be improved.

      • Pool liner is extensively rippled and discolored in sections. The unevenness of the liner makes it difficult to clean.

      • The sand in the filters was last serviced/replaced in 2014. The facility has had issues with cloudy water and unsatisfactory water samples in the past. It is strongly recommended that the facility replace the sand in the filters.
    • 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
      • Current suction outlets are expired. Ensure that the suction outlet covers are replaced before the basin is filled and brought into service. Anti-Entrapment compliance paperwork will need to be updated with current details.
