      • The operator demonstrated insufficient knowledge regarding operating a personal services facility in accordance with the Personal Services Regulation and the Personal Services Standards.Personal services workers must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of the Personal Services Regulation and the Personal Services Standards.Review the Personal Services Regulation and Standard and become familiar with their requirements prior to re-opening.

    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • The facility had no reprocessing sink to disinfect re-usable semi-critical tools used for manicure services and there was insufficient workspace to separate contaminated re-usable tools and clean tools. To adequately reprocess semi-critical tools (which are tools that will/may come into contact with mucous membranes) a designated reprocessing sink must be available. This sink cannot be located in the washroom, and the kitchen sink cannot be used.Install a sink for reprocessing semi-critical tools and ensure all plumbing components are permanently plumbed in to supply hot and cold running water. Provide sufficient workspace for dirty and clean reprocessed equipment in the reprocessing area.
