    • 302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff on duty wasn't aware of the proper dishwashing procedures or where the sanitizer was kept. The bottle of Quats was being stored inside a bus pan with dirty water under the 3-compartment sink.
      • Corrective Action(s): Train staff better. Clean the bus pan.

      • 402 - Employee does not wash hands properly or at adequate frequency [s. 21(3)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Noted staff touching mice droppings and not washing his hands afterwards until he was told to do so.
      • Corrective Action(s): Use gloves, paper towels to clean droppings, not your bare hands. Clean and sanitize the area afterwards. Wash your hands with soap!

    • 101 - Plans/construction/alterations not in accordance with the Regulation [s. 3; s. 4]
      • Observation: 1) The bun steamer wire is running through one of the cupboards and is plugged inside. The door of the cupboard cannot close due to this. The drawers and cupboards are full of items that is not required for the use of the business. This is not acceptable.
      • 2) The right edge of the back kitchen counter is still not being supported.
      • Corrective Action(s): 1) Install the outlet on the wall outside the cupboard. The steamer should be plugged into this. Tidy and organize the drawers and cupboards.
      • 2) Properly support the counter edge as previously mentioned.

      • 212 - Operator has not provided acceptable written food handling procedures [s. 23]
      • Observation: Cooler temperature logs are not being maintained. Bubble tea pearls are not being time stamped.
      • Corrective Action(s): Start following your FSP!!!! Check and record your cooler temperatures daily. Time stamp the pearls.

      • 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
      • Observation: Mice droppings noted on the counter and around the rice cooker used for making pearls in the BOH.
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize this area.

      • Observation: Front door was propped open.
      • Corrective Action(s): Keep the door closed to prevent pest entry into the store.

      • Observation: The mop sink has been decommissioned.
      • Corrective Action(s): As discussed, re-install the mop sink. Discuss the location with me ahead of time. You have till July 3rd to get this done.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Boba pearls are not time stamped.
      • Corrective Action(s): As discussed previously, you must time stamp your boba or use a timer. Cooked pearls must be discarded after 4 hours.

    • 212 - Operator has not provided acceptable written food handling procedures [s. 23]
      • Observation: A temperature log is not being maintained.
      • Corrective Action(s): Start recording your cooler temperatures daily.
