- Every operator must provide notice to the medical officer of health within 14 days of his or her plans to operate a personal service setting (O.Reg. 136/18; Sec. 3 (1-6)).
- Owner/operator must provide notification prior to offering any additional services, carrying out renovations or discontinuing service delivery during a renovation/reconstruction.
- Ensure the floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures and furniture of the setting are maintained in good repair, easily cleanable, of a smooth and impermeable material and maintained in a sanitary condition (O.Reg. 136/18; Sec. 8(1)(2).
- Maintain premises in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Ensure fixtures and furniture are kept clean and good repair.
- Premises must have one sink used only for hand washing. (O.Reg. 136/18; Sec. 8(1)(5i-ii).
