In the interim, no re-useable tools are permitted to be used. All tools must be discarded after each use.As per Section 5(1)(c) of the Personal Services Regulation, a personal service facility must be supplied with hot and cold running water.A functional and sanitary sink must be available for handwashing with soap and potable warm running water for hand washing when hands are visibly dirty. A mobile sink may be used to reprocess non-critical equipment only and must be maintained in good working order and in sanitary condition. Mobile sinks may not be used to reprocess any equipment that punctures the body, contacts mucous membrane, or contacts or may contact non-intact skin.

Due to the absence of a functioning sink for reprocessing non-critical reusable equipment, only the use of single-use disposable equipment is permitted at this time for client services. The operator was informed and removed metal brow tweezers and scissors from use.

- The operator reported metal scissors and brow tweezers were disinfected with alcohol solution with no prior cleaning step. The high-level disinfectant was not in use as per the operator. - Non-critical reusable equipment must be cleaned and disinfected with a low-level disinfectant at minimum. Alcohol solution is not adequate for disinfection and the solution did not have a DIN or MDL. Due to the absence of a functioning sink for reprocessing non-critical reusable equipment, only the use of single-use disposable equipment is permitted at this time for client services. The operator was informed to only use single-use disposable equipment for personal services until further notice and verbalized understanding of the above.Note: Metal scissors may be used for purposes other than direct client services, such as cutting thread.
