      • Written procedure for client care in an event of accidental skin cut or puncture was not observed.The AHS template was adopted during inspection.

    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • The operator was not cleaning dirty tools prior to disinfecting them with PREempt CS20. The operator was disinfecting them first in CS20 before washing them.The operator was educated on the proper steps for reprocessing dirty tools.Going forward:- All dirty tools shall first be washed with soapy water, rinsed, and dried before disinfection with CS20.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The operator is not following the contact time for CS20. The operator stated that she soaks the tools in CS20 for 2 minutes because the solution is too hard on the tools. The operator was educated to soak the tools in CS20 for 20 minutes as per the manufacturer's instruction on the container. After disinfection, the tools shall be rinsed with potable water, dried and then properly stored.
