- 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
- Basin water level noted above the top of the skimmer. Reviewed rationale for water level, water level is important to help ensure that the top layer of water is removed. Ensure water level is decreased to the appropriate level (half-way on skimmer).

- 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
- pH of pool basin exceeds 7.6. Ensure pH is within regulated range as outlined in the Alberta Pool Standards (no less than 6.8 and no greater than 7.6.).
- 11. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit?
- Swimming Pool is in operation without a valid pool permit. Requirements for approval of pool and issuance of pool permit under new ownership (Yarrow II GP INC) reviewed.
- 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
- Written records in pool chemical/mechanical room indicate that the manual water chemistry testing for pH, alkalinity, and chlorine on several dates has been recorded outside of the acceptable ranges. Ensure pool parameters (including but not limited to chlorine, pH) are tested and recorded daily. Written records are incomplete. Written records are incomplete. Records do not indicate actions/measures (ie. Closure) or re-sampling if chemicals added or parameters are outside of normal safe operating ranges. Ensure staff are keeping adequate records of pool testing and actions taken (ie. Type and quantity of chemicals added, chemical parameters upon retesting, pool closure, ect). October 6, 2023 - manual testing of the basin by staff the morning of October 6, 2023 indicated levels of FC 2.72 ppm vs PHI tests at FC 6.89 ppm and 7.72 ppm October 23, 2023 - pH 7.72 and 7.73 at the pool. Observed staff member complete manual pool testing. DPD3 was added to pool water and not to DPD1. Ensure staff are following the directions and have been properly trained on how to complete pool testing. Facility pool test kit readings appear to be below both PHI and Elite pool test kit for pH. (EPH 7.6, site kit 7.3). Ensure pool test kit is able to accurately reflect pool chemical parameters.

- There is evidence of staining and debris build up throughout the aquatics area including visible build-up and discoloration on the bottom of the swimming pool, flooring and drains around the basin, and a scum line on the liner around the edge of the swimming pool basin, inside the skimmer pots. There was a large amount of black buildup on the floating thermometer in the skimmer pot. Thoroughly clean pool and pool common areas including pool deck, pool floors and walls, inside skimmers, and thermometer. Pool is not being maintained in a sanitary manner.
