      • Both types of QUATs test strips onsite had expired on April 30,2020 and June15,2024. Action Required:Please replace the expired chemical test strips with valid (not expired, not water damaged) ones and email photo or video evidence to PHI by February 5, 2026.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • 1. The paper towel holder controller by the hand sink near the kitchen entry point from the front of house, is too close to the wall making it hard to turn the controller and dispense paper towel in a sanitary manner, without touching the wall. Action Required: Move the paper towel holder and few inches the left or replace with an easily accessible one. Due February 10, 2026, instead of February 4th, 2026, as there is another functional hand sink in the kitchen.2. One of two back of house soap dispensers located 300NW of the kitchen was empty. Corrected during inspection. New soap container added.Action Required:Ensure all hand sinks are fully equipped with hot and potable running water and fully stocked with easy to dispense liquid soap and single use disposable paper towel to facilitate sanitary handwashing procedures.

      • 1. QUATs sanitizer was 400ppm. Corrected during inspection. PHI coached Shift Supervisor on mixing an approved 200ppm QUAT sanitizer solution.Action Required: Please maintain your food contact surface sanitizers at approved concentrations to ensure effective cleaning and sanitizing and to prevent contamination of food contact surfaces when the sanitizers exceed approved concentrations (100ppm Bleach, 20ppm QUATs, 12.5-25ppm Iodine).Resources:How to mix an approved sanitizing solution.-https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/assets/wf/eph/wf-eh-how-mix-an-approved-sanitizing-solution.pdf2.Single use disposable paper towel was mounted by kitchen countertop. Action Required:Discard soiled paper towels and please store wet, used cleaning cloths in approved sanitizer solutions when not in use, to prevent contamination of food contact surfaces.
