      • An unsecured drawer containing batteries was observed in the toddler room. Corrected onsite. Ensure that all drawers accessible to children are kept locked and secured at all times.
    • 16. Does the social care facility have adequate lighting?
      • One light is not functioning in each of the toddler room and the 4–5-year-olds room, where children play, engage in activities, and eat. Ensure both lights are repaired.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The temperature at one of the hand sinks in the children's bathroom was measured to be over 54C. The operator adjusted the temperature.

      • The finishes were not complete in the children's washroom.Top part of walls was drywall - please ensure that all walls, floors and ceilings are finished, smooth and easy to clean.

      • The temperature at the hand sinks in the children's bathroom was measured to be over 54C. Please ensure that the temperature at the hand sinks is no greater than 49C,.

      • September 14 confirmation of mixing valves installed at sinks that children can access. Onsite confirmation of temperature to be completed. Hot water temperature at children's hand washing sinks was measured to be 56-59C. It is strongly recommended that a mixing valve or device be installed. It is strongly recommended that the maximum temperature at any sink which children have access to is 49C or less.

      • Hot water temperature at children's hand washing sinks was measured to be 56-59C. July 2023: OUTSTANDING - Hot water was measured to be 62.6C which can scald within 1 minute. It is strongly recommended that a mixing valve or device be installed. It is strongly recommended that the maximum temperature at any sink which children have access to is 49C or less.
