    • 06. Do operators and personal services workers comply with the Personal Services Regulation and Standards and do they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties in a safe and sanitary manner?
      • Multiple Violation:1) Disposable tools observed onsite included toe separators, foam nail files/buffers, pumice stones, abrasive pedicure file papers/stickers, and sandbands.*Discarded all the used items.2) There were two pack of used tools which has client name on it. It was explained to the operator that these tools are for single use, not for single customer.*Tools were discarded at the time of inspection.3) CS20 was not available at the time of inspection. When asked how long dry tools need to be submerged in the solution after cleaning, the operator stated 15 minutes.*Education was provided regarding proper contact time.4) Lysol Foam cleaner was available for cleaning non-porous areas such as chairs, tables, and pedicure basins. However, no low- to intermediate-level disinfectant was available at the time of inspection.5) Cleaned reprocessing tools were not adequately cleaned, with skin/nail debris observed on them.*Staff cleaned the tools and were instructed to soak them in CS20 for 20 minutes.Note: CS20 and PREempt RTU were ordered and got delivered during the inspection.

      • 1) Disposable tools observed onsite included toe separators, foam nail files/buffers, pumice stones, abrasive pedicure file papers/stickers, and sandbands.       • Staff reported that laundry is washed daily. However, a wet towel was in use in the reprocessing area.*The operator was instructed to use a clean, dry towel each time while reprocessing tools.
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • - Cleaned reprocessing tools were not adequately cleaned, with skin/nail debris observed on them. Staff cleaned the tools and were instructed to soak them in CS20 for 20 minutes.*Clean and disinfect the tools as discussed.Clean with soap and water (or any suitable cleaner, can scrub to remove all the debris), visually inspect for cleanliness, once dry keep in the CS20 for 20 minutes (minimum), keep it in the clean and dry place, let it dry prior reusing it.

High-level disinfectant, preempt CS20, had expired since January 2024.-Please procure and use effective high-level disinfectant to ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of tools/equipment.2. High-level disinfectant, preempt CS20, was being diluted with water.-Please do not dilute the high-level disinfectant, follow manufacturer's instructions for usage.
