- Found one expired can of 2% milk in the cooler, best before date: Dec 17/2024.This deficiency was addressed with the staff. Ensure dates are checked on regular basis. All outdated food products shall be disposed of and ensure dates are checked on a routine basis. Staff discarded one expired can of milk at the time of inspection

- The vent cover on the wall connecting the furnace room and the adjacent hall is not secured. Piping from the toilet in the staff washroom goes into a hole in the wall which has ~half an inch of space on all sides of the pipe/tube. Please seal these areas as they can act as harborage and transportation routes for pests as they are now.

- Medications were being stored in the same cupboard as dry food items.- Directed operator to store these away from food prep/storage areas during the inspection.

- Several cartons of eggs were left out on the prep counter for at least 4 hours. They were measured at 20-21 C.- These were confiscated from the facility during the inspection.- Please ensure foods that require refrigeration are stored at a temperature of 4 C or lower.- Eggs can be stored at a temperature of 7 C or lower.

- 1) Live cockroaches were observed in the following areas:- Within paper records hanging on wall beside bread slicer.- In items stored below the bread slicer counter.- On the walls/floor near the bread slicer- In the bread slicer and on the bread slicer counter.- On the walls/floor near the blue kitchen aid.- On the blue kitchen aid counter.- Behind the door in the hallway.- Behind the brown cupboard on the floor in the hall way.2) There was a sticky trap behind the door in the hallway that has accumulated live and dead cockroaches.3) Cockroach egg cases were observed along the edges of the floor along the walls in the kitchen (including around the dishwashing sink area).4) Dead cockroaches were observed along the edges of the floor along the walls in the kitchen.Action Required: - Hire a licensed pest control company to provide service/treatment to the facility until the pest infestation has been controlled.- Provide the pest control company's service reports to the district Public Health Inspector for review until the pest infestation has been controlled.

- There are signs of pest activity as well as accumulated debris in several areas of the facility.- Clean/sanitize the facility's utensils and equipment that may have been exposed to pest activity, as well as those that have accumulated food debris (including the bread slicer, the blue kitchen aid, etc.)

- 1) There are signs of pest activity as well as accumulated debris in several areas of the facility.- Clean/sanitize the facility's surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings, counters, etc.).2) There are many unrelated and unused items being stored throughout the facility. Some areas are very cluttered and disorganized.- Remove any unrelated and unused items from the facility in order to facilitate proper cleaning and pest control, and then re-organize the storage of items and equipment (including food items).
