    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control monitoring conducted monthly.Some fruit flies were observed during inspection. Facility has been trying to reduce the number of flies and has been improving. Some suggestions to help further reduce the flies:-relocate the large compost bin to outside the kitchen (ie. custodial room)-close up compost bags and replace it frequently throughout the day. -clean garbage and compost bins on a regular basis. The dining area bins must also be cleaned throughout the day as well.-wipe up spills immediately-clean nozzles/pumps of sugary liquids regularly-any wet towels are to be bagged up and laundered -use fly strips in areas away from food/food contact surfaces-clean drains on a frequent basis including mechanical dishwasher drains-any damaged structural areas that are allowing water to pool must be repaired

      • The caulking by the front hand sink (closest to wall) in the Tim Hortons area was lifting in certain areas. Please replace caulking.

      • There is one light in the walk-in cooler, however, it is not very bright and the walk-in cooler is still quite dark. Please get more light in the walk-in cooler which will assist in facilitating product rotation, cleaning, etc.
