      • One skimmer basket was observed to have a buildup of a black, oil-like substance adhered to the interior surface, indicating inadequate cleaning. Additionally, the plastic attachments connected to the skimmer baskets were found to be in poor condition and structurally fragile. One broken piece was located inside the skimmer, and two additional attachments broke with minimal pressure during handling.Staff were instructed to replace all damaged skimmer components promptly. They were also advised to implement routine daily cleaning of the skimmers to remove debris and buildup, ensuring proper function and maintaining sanitary conditions.

      • The digital flow meter was not displaying a value during inspection.Facility operator confirmed the flow meter appears stuck or jammed. Ensure the flow meter is operational to monitor the turnover period.

      • Two of the skimmers for the hot tub had debris inside.One of the skimmers for the hot tub had a buildup of slime around the edges.Clean the skimmers.

      • Total Alkalinity measured 40 ppm at the time of inspection in one location and 46 in another with the inspector's test kit.Facility measured alkalinity with their Taylor test kit and obtained a result of 50 ppm.Ensure that the Total Alkalinity is maintained between 60 ppm and 180 ppm.

      • Water sample collected on August 28 was rejected because there was no identification number on the bottle submitted.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Flow meter is not functional.A flow meter must be located on the recirculation system after the filter in order to measure the flow rate of the water returning to the pool. In order to ensure accurate flow readings, flow meters must be installed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines (e.g. on a specified length of straight pipe with a specified pipe diameter).It may be necessary to consult with a pool professional or engineer to determine a flow meter that will work for this system.Note: a flow meter is available onsite. Facility is currently very busy and requires some down time to install. Flow meter will be installed as soon as practicable.

      • Grout in several areas in the whirlpool appears rusted. All of the grout was replaced in September and it is unknown what is causing the rusting.Continue to monitor the grout and repair/replace if further damage is noted. Repair actions/timeline to be discussed.
