    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Room F (OSC room) - Chemicals stored inside washroom sink cupboard without a lock on the cupboard. Removed immediately.Please keep all chemicals out of reach for children. Manager stated that going forward chemicals will be stored inside the laundry room.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Room D (preschool) - there was no hot water available at the hand sink tap.Please ensure hot water is available but the hot water temperature does not exceed 49C. It was noticed that shut off valves under the hand sinks were being adjusted by the staff which results in inconsistent hot water supply. Please have the management adjust all the hot water shut off valves so that in maximum hot position water temperature does not exceed 49C and advise the staff to not change the settings.

      • Bleach spray bottles not labeled to identify content inside the bottles. Please adjust the label.Mouth toys bins inside the Toddler rooms (room B&C) were not labelled - please label the mouth toy bins.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Infant room:- Client hand was not washed after diaper change.- Staff did not wash hands prior to glove use nor next diaper change.- Diapering bed was not disinfected before the client's diaper change.Ensure diapering procedures are followed for each client;- change diaper,- wash client's hands,- disinfect diapering bed after each client- then staff completes handwashing after each client and before the next client.Diapering procedure checklist will be provided via email. Post on wall as a reminder.

      • During the inspection water was measured at the maximum of 55.3 degrees C.Make sure that water temperature in the baby's room is maintained at 49 degrees C or less and must not exceed 54 degrees C or more (maximum).
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Hot water temperature at the hand sink younger babies room was 57C - maximum hot water temperature at the tap should be 49C and not exceed 54C to prevent scalding. Employees are adjusting hot water before washing babies.Please adjust the hot water temperature to maximum 49C.

    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The handwashing sink in the Kinder Tiger's washroom was not equipped with soap. The staff also indicated that the tap did not work sometimes.Please ensure that every handwashing sink must be provided with soap dispenser and towel papers and get some plumbing work done for the continuous supply of water.Please ensure that the towel papers for drying hands should not be placed directly on the handwashing counters. Facility may use containers or baskets to store paper towels on handwashing sinks.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • In older baby's room, Elk's room and kinder tiger's room, there were no toilet paper dispensers installed. Please install the toilet paper dispensers.
