    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The operators are using tweezers around the eye area which is a semi-critical device and a high-level disinfectant must be used to thoroughly disinfect it. A high-level disinfectant is required whenever a device is in contact with mucous membranes. Obtain a high-level disinfectant and ensure the clean tweezers are disinfected prior to performing services.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Several cosmetic products did not have adequate labelling to identify the product, the list of ingredients and the instructions for use. Cosmetic products must be adequately labeled to ensure safe usage of the product. Without proper labelling, the product cannot be used. Replace the product with products that have adequate labelling or ensure this information is provided at all times from the manufacturer and maintain these records onsite for review.
