- Observation: Fluorescent tube lights in the food premises are not equipped with protective shielding,Unshielded fluorescent bulbs can shatter unexpectedly, and broken glass fragments may fall onto: food, food contact surfaces, equipments and utensils.
- Corrective Action: The operator must install approved protective shielding or shatter‑resistant covers on all fluorescent tube lights throughout the premises. This will prevent glass fragments from contaminating food or food‑contact surfaces in the event of bulb breakage and ensure compliance with physical‑contamination prevention requirements.

- Observation: Various implements used a scoops are left in product for ongoing use including the bins of Cinnamon sugar, yeat, shredded coconut. (Public Health Significance) Improper scoops and scoop storage exposes items to bare hand contact and potential contamination.
- Corrective Action: Store scoops so that foods are not exposed to the handles or bare hand contact. Store food scoops in a sanitary manner and clean and sanitize them regularly.

- Observation: Foods were left uncovered and open to contamination. Observed various baked goods uncovered within the large stainless steel refrigerator at time of inspection. Observed rusted, peeling shelving within the refrigeration equipment. Contamination of food from contact with objects, people, pests or chemicals can cause serious illness.
- Corrective Action: Cover or otherwise protect all foods from airborne contaminants, drips from raw foods, and contact with objects and staff

- Observation: No accurate indicating thermometer(s) observed within the large stainless steel reach in refrigerator.
- Corrective Action: Operator to purchase, install and accurate indicating thermometers that are in good working order to ensure potentially hazardous foods are stored at the proper cold-holding temperatures of 4 C and -18 C respectively within the large commercial reach-in refrigerator.

- 205 - Critical Cold potentially hazardous food stored/displayed above 4 °C. [s. 14(2)]
- Observation: Potentially hazardous cold foods are stored at above 4°C - middle portion of cooler containing dairy products was measured at 6.5°C. Public Health significance - All potentially hazardous foods must be stored at below 4°C or above 60°C - out of the danger zone to prevent bacterial growth and possibly food borne illness
- Corrective Action: Move potentially hazardous cold foods to working refrigeration units that maintain a temperature of 4°C or less, monitor and adjust the temperatures or have serviced, as required.

- Observation: Raw meat is stored above pastries in freezer. Yogurt container is used as a scoop in some dry ingredient bins. Some of the rubbermaid containers used to store dry goods are not foodgrade plastic. Public Health significance - Contact with and dripping fluids from raw foods can contaminate other items and lead to food borne illness. Yogurt containers do not have handles, and can lead to contamination of food when staff are touching the containers. Plastics that are not foodgrade can contain unsafe chemicals that leach into food stored within them.
- Corrective Action: Store raw meats below and isolated from pastries and ready-to-eat foods. Ensure that proper scoops are used for dry ingredients, and they are stored in a manner to prevent the handles from coming into direct contact with food. Only foodgrade plastics should be used for food storage.
- 211 - Frozen potentially hazardous food stored/displayed above -18 °C. [s. 14(3)]
- Observation: Portions of the freezer were measured between -4 to -5°C.
- Corrective Action: Ensure that frozen foods that have thawed out are used as soon as possible to avoid spoilage. Repair or replace freezer, or alter how products are stored within as needed to ensure that food products within remain fully frozen.
