    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid kit was missing some items such as emergency blanket and CPR resuscitation barrier device. -Please stock the first aid kit with emergency blanket and resuscitation barrier device to meet the new requirements for Type 2 basic first aid kit.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • An unlabeled solution in ZEP professional spray bottle was identified to be the contact surface sanitizer by the staff. The original container and test strips were not available to verify the content and strength of the solution. Upon testing by the PHI, the solution measured 0ppm to chlorine and 0ppm to quats test strips.- PHI extensively educated staff on options of approved sanitizer and the importance of disinfection in a childcare facility. - Please obtain an approved sanitizer by 28th Nov 2023 to be used for contact surfaces and toy cleaning. - Sanitizing solution must be available for use at all times. - Provide and use appropriate test strips to regularly confirm strength of sanitizing solution.- All chemicals used in the facility must be properly labeled.- Provide regular training to old/new staff on the use of sanitizers and all chemicals used in the facility.
