      • 1) PREempt CS20 in the disinfectant container failed the test strips. 2) PREmpt CS20 was not tested daily, and no log sheet was kept. 1 to 2) Test PREempt CS20 and record the test on the log sheet daily.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • Waxing table was torn, and a loose plastic cover was used to cover the table. Reupholster or replace the table. Working surface needs to be smooth and easily cleanable. Surface needs to smooth and easily cleanable.

    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) PREempt CS20 test strips were expired. Staff was not monitoring or recording the PREempt CS20 disinfectant strength daily. Require checking and recording PREempt CS20 on a log sheet daily if PREempt CS20 is used for multiple days. 2) Staff stated that they immersed the manicure and pedicure tools in PREempt CS20 for 15 minutes instead of 20 minutes.Follow the manufacturer's instructions. PREempt CS20 requires to immerse the tools for 20 minutes. Provide a timer to record the immersion time. 3) Staff stated that they diluted the PRE RTU with water.PREempt RTU- is a Ready to USE (RTU) Do not dilute with water. 4) Staff stated that they used bleach to clean the pedicure foot tubs.Require using a disinfectant with Drug Identification Number (DIN) such as PREempt RTU.5) Drill bits were immersed in 70% alcohol.Require immersing in high level disinfectant such as PREempt CS20.6) A bottle of Flexi Clean Disinfectant was expired since 2023.Discard all expired chemicals.
