      • The door leading to the storage area containing the two-compartment sink and chemicals was broken, allowing children to access the area.Please repair or install a door to prevent children from entering the storage space.

      • Shaving foam was used during an activity and was accessible to the children. Please ensure that shaving foam is handled exclusively by staff and not used directly by children during activities.

      • 1) Hard-to-reach areas such as the inside of cupboards and storage spaces located in the daycare room, ages 3-4 room, 4-5 room, and the afterschool care room were observed to be soiled in debris.Please remove all items in the shelves and clean and disinfect the surfaces.2) Carpets located in the 4-5 room were observed to be soiled in food stains and debris.Please deep clean the carpets.3) The rubber seal on the washing machine was observed to have mildew and mold.Please clean and disinfect the indicated area.4) The window frame located in the 4-5 room was observed to be chipped and peeling exposing drywall.Please patch and paint the indicated area to ensure the surfaces are smooth, easily cleanable, and impervious to contaminants.

      • The covers and cushions used to cover the indoor ball pit was observed to be cracked and peeling.Please repair or remove the ball pit covers and cushions. Please ensure that the covers and cushions are made of materials that are smooth and easily cleanable or equipped with covers that can be laundered.

      • The door leading to the storage area containing the two-compartment sink and chemicals was broken, allowing children to access the area.Please repair or install a door to prevent children from entering the storage space.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Thumb tacks were observed to be used on the bulletin boards located in the daycare room.The operator promptly removed the thumb tacks from the bulletin boards. Please ensure thumb tacks are not used in the daycare facility to prevent accidental punctures and eliminate choking hazards.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The inspector was informed that standing diaper changes were done in the girl's washroom located in the basement. The chlorine spray bottle in the girl's washroom was broken and unable to dispense the solution for disinfecting.The operator promptly replaced the spray bottle. The chlorine solution was tested at measured between 100-200 ppm.

      • The cover of the sensory table located in the daycare room was observed to be soiled with debris, paints, and markings.The operator promptly removed and discarded the cover for the sensory table. Please monitor the table and ensure it is kept and maintained in a suitable manner.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1) The diaper safety belt was missing one end of the buckle so it was not being used properly or safely.-replace the diaper safety belt; ensure it is used during each diapering change.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) The wall/floor area at the entrance to the building (near entrance door) was badly damaged and deteriorated.-repair the floor/wall area and ensure all areas are maintained.2) Wall/corner in the daycare area was missing a moulding-repair/re-attach the moulding and ensure all surfaces are maintained to ensure all surfaces are safe and in good repair.

      • The chairs had an accumulation of grime.-clean all chairs and other surfaces with a cleaner/detergent/degreaser. -Use hot water and detergent prior to disinfecting surfaces.

      • Toys are not cleaned and disinfected in the sink.-complete toy cleaning and disinfection using the required "toy cleaning sink." (Info provided)
