- For selling of cured meats, the operator must obtain a food handling permit from AHS.As discussed, the preparing of cured meats must occur in an approved and permitted commercial kitchen facility.Update on September 20, 2022:Tofield Community Hall kitchen facility venue is not suitable for this particular food processing operation - still searching for an appropriate commercial kitchen facility.Will wait from the operator on her final decision on a commercial kitchen facility and then arrange an on-site assessment of this kitchen facility to determine if this would meet our public health requirements.UPDATE ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2023:Proposed home based food manufacturing operation - at this time, is in the planning stages.Have provided various AHS documents during the inspection for your review and future reference.
