- R10.3 - Do care plans include the required elements and are they developed with the participation of the person in care, parent or representative?
- Observation(s): November 26, 2025 Contravention – The Licensee does not have a system in place to ensure that all legislative requirements are included in the care plans. Four care plans were reviewed, and it was noted that one did not contain an oral care plan. The provision of person-specific oral care might be missed when the directive is not included in the care plan. The Licensee will submit a Compliance Plan by December 22, 2025 outlining how they will ensure that all care plans contain a person-specific oral care plan. Contravention – The Licensee does not have a system in place to ensure that My Days are updated and in alignment with the care plan. It was noted in one person in care’s room that their My Day had not been updated with a change in diet. A person in care may receive food and/or fluids that are not in alignment with the Dietician’s orders if the My Day does not accurately reflect their care plan leading to risk of choking or other diet related issues. The Licensee will submit a Compliance Plan by December 22, 2025 outlining how they will ensure that all My Days are current and in alignment with care plans.
