      • Room 3: Glass jars used for decoration were accessible to children. Please ensure that glass jars are stored away from children and only brought out for supervised activities.

      • Room 4: A porous shelf was present. Please ensure that all furniture is non-porous.

      • Room 2, 3: Used cleaning rags were seen by the sink. Please ensure the following:- cleaning rags are used only once and then disposed of or laundered. This prevents cross-contamination and bacterial spread. - place clearly labeled bins in each classroom for used rags.

    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Several ceiling tiles in all classrooms were missing, some were observed to be coming off and about to drop. Please repair the ceiling in all classrooms to prevent the hazard of falling on children.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The facility was using CHEMFAX a QUAT based disinfectant. A spray bottle was measured at 100 ppm using Q10 test strips. The operator informed the Public Health Inspector of the plan to transition to bleach. - The operator made a solution of 200 ppm QUAT during the inspection.- Ensure to keep disinfectant at the appropriate concentration at all times (100 ppm if using a chlorine-based disinfectant such as bleach and 200 ppm if using QUAT as a disinfectant). - Obtain appropriate test strips to verify the concentration for any disinfectant in use.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • A leaking tap was observed in the handwashing skink of classroom 2.- Please repair the leaking tap.
