      • Rice was noted to be in the microwave for an unknown amount of time. Onsite manager was notified and promptly took action by throwing out the rice. It is important that food products that require refrigeration are stored away in the fridge, this will assist to reduce growth of bacteria and decrease the risk of foodborne illnesses.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Hard to reach areas were noted to not be kept in a clean fashion or sanitary order. Buildup was noted towards the back of equipment, under the grilling area. Please ensure that hard to reach areas are being cleaned.

      • A fly was observed in the donut display case at the front service area.**Ensure food items under storage are protected from contamination at all times.-The operator discarded of the food items during the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Several flies were observed at the facility during the inspection.**Please consult with your pest control operator for solutions regarding the flies.

      • Several flies were noted in the facility during the inspection.-The Supervisor on duty indicated that they were aware of the problem and have had their license pest operator install fly traps in the facility.
