      • **Ongoing violation** The facility had containers/bottles that were not labelled. REQUIREMENT: The facility needs clear labels on all containers/bottles stating what liquid/chemical is inside.

    • 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
      • A staff member trained to provide waxing services was unaware of which cleanser was being used.REQUIREMENT: Ensure that the written procedure for cleansing the skin is developed, and that the product used is properly labelled. Cleansing must occur prior to offering facial waxing.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No high-level disinfectant is available to disinfect the comodone extraction loop.REQUIREMENT: Do not offer the extractions component of the facial service unless a proper disinfectant is obtained. Obtain a high-level disinfectant for the reusable extraction loop.
    • 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
      • A disposable razor blade was noted to be left out in an area where tools are being stored. It is unknown if the razor blade was being used, but it appeared dirty. A sharps container was noted to be directly on the shelf above the blade.This was corrected during the inspection.
