- ■ Written procedures were completed during the inspection. ■ Ensure the written procedures are kept on site, and that staff are aware of where they are being stored.■ Ensure the written procedures can be presented to a PHI upon request.■ Completed the following 5 written procedures: (1) Written procedure for Cleansing Skin: Waxing (Body and face) & Eyebrow Tinting (2) Written procedure for Cleansing Skin: Pedicure (3) Written procedure for Cleansing Skin: Manicure (4) Written procedure for Cleansing Skin: Eyelash Extensions & Eyelash Tinting (5) Written procedure for Accidental Cuts or Punctures
- 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
- (X) Metal drill bits were being kept in a small unlabeled glass container filled with PreEmptCS20 at the manicure work station. ■ Ensure all reprocessing is done at the designated sink. ■ Tools are to be cleaned with soap and water, rinsed and dried thoroughly, then soaked for the proper time in the disinfectant (for PreEmptCS20 soak for 20 minutes), rinsed and dried. Store tools in a clean container.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- (X) The FlexiClean Septicsol Disinfectant & Sanitizer Spray bottle kept at the reprocessing sink was being refilled with PreEmptCS20. The bottle was not properly labeled.■ Ensure all chemical bottles are properly labeled.(X) The high-level chemical disinfectant tray is too small for the metal "cheese-grater" style foot file. ■ Purchase a larger disinfectant tray and ensure the foot file (and all other tools) can be fully soaked in the high-level disinfectant (PreEmptCS20). ■ Discussed the proper procedure for the cleaning and disinfection of the pedicure basins.
