- 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
- A complete first aid kit was not available.The operator later provided confirmation of the order for a Type 2 first aid kit.
- 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
- Toys were visibly clean; however, after discussion with the operator, toys were not being effectively sanitized. Toys must be sanitized using an approved sanitizer solution.Education was provided. The facility will use a quat-based solution for sanitizing toys. Small toys will be washed in the one-compartment sink and soaked in a large container with the sanitizer solution.Please follow the steps below for proper toy washing and sanitizing: 1. Wash with a detergent and warm water.2. Rinse detergent away with clean, warm water.3. Wipe, spray, or soak toys in a separate container or sink using a quat sanitizer solution (quat diluted with water), unless a premixed quat solution is used.4. After the sanitizing step, let the surface or item air dryThe sanitizer solution must be tested regularly with sanitizer test strips. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for solution strength.
