    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Main kitchen - the 2 comp S/S sink serves a dual purpose for ware washing and hand washing. - there is also a washroom immediately adjacent and opens into the kitchen area that has a hand wash sink - this is not an ideal set-up.Ice cream parlor - the single S/S sink serves a dual purpose for ice cream scoop washing and hand washing - this is not an ideal set-up.Both areas will need to have a separate hand wash sink installed, stocked with paper towel and liquid soap from dispensers, within reach of the sink they serve.June 7, 2024Main kitchen area - operator is no longer making pizzas, so this is now mostly a storage area to support the tent kitchen that makes breakfasts on Sat & Sun. As there is limited food prep and no cooking going on in this kitchen now - a separate hand sink will not be required.Ice Cream Parlour - if you can supply additional ice cream scoops, so that you have 2 to 3 times as many as you currently have, AND you clean and sanitize them in the main kitchen's 2 compartment sink - you will not require a separate hand wash sink for this area, as you have a single sink set up for hand washing currently.Breakfast tent kitchen - this area is not served by water or sewer services, so please set up and use a "temporary hand wash sink arrangement", using a 5 gallon water jug with a spigot on the edge of a table, with an open top 5 gallon pail to catch the waste water from washing hands. You will also need to have liquid soap and paper towel provided.Please see attachment for how this looks and is set up.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • During this inspection the 2 little dogs were not in the main kitchen area, but the owner was not there as well.PHI did observe 2 dishes of dog food, left on the floor to the left of the sinks. Therefore the dogs were most likely in the kitchen.Corrective ActionThe dogs can only be kept in the office area, which is immediately adjacent to the kitchen OR at the owner's RV unit.They cannot be allowed in the kitchen wear food is served or prepared for the public.
