    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Insect repellant was stored next to food items in cupboard in the room attached to room three. Operator explained that food items (jell-o, salt) in cupboard are being used by children for art projects/sensory play and not for consumption. Operator transferred insect repellant into a box to provide proper separation to protect food items from cross-contamination. Chemical/seasonal items should be separated and stored away from food items to ensure prevention of cross-contamination as they are toxic to staff and clients.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Soap was observed to be low in the second room attached to room three at the handwashing sink. Director was able to refill soap dispenser.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • A barrel lock is visible on the outside of the bathroom door located in the room attached to room 3. Operator explained that the lock was there before they began operation of their program. Inspector instructed operator to have the lock removed. Operator stated they would have the school's maintenance staff come in to remove it. Having the lock removed ensures client safety, because there is a potential risk of a child being locked in the bathroom.
