      • Operator was using 50% - 70% alcohol to disinfect lash extension tweezers, which are not registered disinfectants (No DIN or disinfectant claim).Corrective Actions:- Acquire an appropriate high level disinfectant that has a valid medical device license issued by Health Canada.- Acquire appropriate test papers (test strips) for the high level disinfectant you purchase.- Follow the manufacturer' instructions for use for all contact times, reuse periods, and testing requirements.- Maintain a log of all test paper results.
    • 26. Les produits cosmétiques sont-ils appropriés à leur utilisation prévue et sont-ils manipulés correctement?
      • Cosmetics were appropriately labeled with product identifier, list of ingredients, and manufacturer's information.Facility had two kinds of brow tinting dyes (Refectocil and Berrywell Augenblick).Refectocil label stated that using the product around the eyes without proper training may cause blindness, whereas Berrywell Augenblick was labeled with a warning to not use around the eyes as doing so may cause blindness.Since the manufacturer's instructions for use (MIFU) for Augenblick states to not use around the eyes, ensure this product is no longer used for tinting the eyebrows or eyelashes until such time the MIFU permits such activity.

      • Sink in the washroom was used for reprocessing of semi-critical equipment.Corrective Actions:- Ensure an appropriate sink for reprocessing is available that is not located in a room containing a toilet and is connected to a permanent potable water supply.
