      • Received email from operator advising that a damaged chlorine pump has been discovered and repairs were in progress by pool service provider, Automated Aquatics.

      • 1. West Skimmer: A small amount of algae was observed under the skimmer access hatch (within cavity). Cleaning required.

      • 1. According to the daily logs, super shock is being added almost daily to help maintain adequate free chlorine levels. Super shock should not need to be added on a regular basis to maintain water chemistry. Notify your pool service provider and/or make necessary adjustments to your automated controller so it can be properly programmed to ensure consistent chemical feeding/monitoring based on demand. 2. Proper operator records are not being documented daily including but not limited to documenting date/month/year, staff responsible, time of tests, quantities of chemicals used etc. Discussed improvements required. Request that chemical parameters and automated controller readings be tested/documented twice daily (a.m. & p.m.) or more often as deemed necessary. If chemical parameters are not within legislative requirements, ensure the basins are closed to the public until corrective actions have been taken and chemical parameters are within legislative requirements.

Automated controller pH is 7.41 and manual pH readings are 7.62 which is a difference of +/- 0.22. A difference of +/- 0.20 is considered to be acceptable. Repair/adjust as needed.There was a leak from the autofill valve line in the pool mechanical room. Repair.
