      • The facility does not have written procedures that pertain to the services offered at the personal service. For example, a procedure in place for cleansing the skin for waxing or facials. Ensure that the facility has written procedures in place regarding cleansing skin, applying antiseptic, post care service and following the steps in case of an accidental cut or puncture.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Two soaker containers of PREempt CS20 set-up. One of the containers had no disinfectant, it failed the test strip test.Monitor the PREempt CS20 and ensure staff are drying the tools before placing them in the PREempt CS202) The foot paddles do not fit into the PREempt CS soaker containers, so they are not being disinfected. Provide a container that can use to completely immersed the foot paddles

    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Used nail files and toe separators were stored with new nail files. These single use items were being reused. Discard "single use" items such as nail files and toe separators after use.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Manicure and pedicure tools were not completely immersed in PREempt CS20 and no time track was done for the contact time. Observed staff adding more tools throughout the inspection.Ensure tools are completely immersed in the PREempt CS20 and provide a timer for disinfectant. 2) Drill bits were soaked in acetone. Drill bits need to be washed and soaked in high-level disinfectant such as PREempt CS20. 3) Pedicure foot tubs were not disinfected properly. Mr. Clean requires a 10-minute contact time and unable to maintain the solution on the walls long enough to disinfect and PREempt RTU (3 minutes contact time) was expired in October 2022.Provide PREempt RTU for the foot tubs4) Reusable sandals were not cleaned and disinfected after each use. Wipe sandals down with disinfectant wipe after each use.
