      • Semi-critical manicure and pedicure equipment was improperly stored. Tools with visible debris and rust were observed stored in a dirty container inside the towel cabinet.- Remove damaged or rusted equipment from service and ensure all cleaned and disinfected equipment is stored in a clean, sanitary manner.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No high-level disinfectant was available on-site at the time of inspection. No services involving the use of semi-critical equipment were being provided during the inspection. - The operator advised that technician bring their own tools and disinfectant; however, a suitable high-level disinfectant must be available prior to providing these services.- Obtain an approved high-level disinfectant (for e.g. Preempt HLD5 or CS20) that is available on-site.

      • Pedicure basins were being cleaned, but they were not being disinfected.- Please ensure a low-level disinfectant is used instead (recommended to use an intermediate level disinfectant).
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • Dust and debris were observed on the carts besides the manicure and haircutting stations. - Ensure regular cleaning is performed to remove dust and debris.
