    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • Several nail clippers and cuticle clippers were rusted. Reusable tools and equipment must be maintained in good repair. Prior to disinfection, reusable tools must be adequately cleaned and visually assessed for cleanliness. Reusable tools must be replaced once they are in disrepair. The rusted nail clippers and cuticle clippers were discarded at the time of the inspection.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • There was a hair strand observed on the perimeter of the wax pot warmer. When portioning the bulk supply, it must be done in a manner that protects the bulk from contamination. That is, using a clean tool to remove a portion of the supply and refrain from "double-dipping".
