      • Bare plywood was noted on top of the washing machine and drier. Please paint the bare plywood and ensure it is maintained in a smooth, easy-to-clean and moisture resistant material.

      • Bare plywood was noted on top of the washing machine and drier. Please paint the bare plywood and ensure it is maintained in a smooth, easy-to-clean and moisture resistant material.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • Reprocessing sinks were being used for other purposes.The operator indicated that they would either use sinks located in the front area or ensure that current sinks are not being used for any other purposes.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Papertowel were being stored in the washroom. Please remove all items from the washroom.

    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • A couple of manicure stations that were not in use was observed to have some nail dust build up around the drawers. Clean the mentioned manicure stations.

    • 02. Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?
      • Personal services notification was not submitted when the business opened. Submit a personal services notification.
    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Written procedure templates were printed out, however, they were not filled out. Complete the relevant written procedure templates.
    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • A few used nails files and buffs were observed to be stored in the manicure stations close to the front door. The used nail files and buffs were discarded immediately upon request. Single-use equipment must be discarded after use on one client.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • High level disinfectant test strips were expired. Obtain new high level disinfectant test strips. The high level disinfectant must be replaced daily until new test strips have been obtained.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • A couple of manicure stations that were not in use was observed to have some nail dust build up around the drawers. Clean the mentioned manicure stations.
