Bear Creek Folk Festival - Face Painting has been inspected once by Alberta Health Services (Environmental Public Health), on August 14, 2026. The most recent inspection, on August 14, 2026, recorded 2 infractions.

In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 2 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Hand hygiene and infection control.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for clients. In personal service settings like salons, spas and tattoo studios, higher-risk findings are the ones that could spread infection from one client to the next, through broken skin, blood or instruments that were not properly cleaned and sterilized.

  • Hand hygiene and infection controlHigher risk

Infection control is the core of a personal service inspection. Inspectors check that operators clean their hands and change gloves between clients, that a stocked hand sink is available, and that anything that breaks the skin is handled so blood-borne infections such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV cannot pass from one client to the next.

Recorded once on August 14, 2026. For example: Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?

  • Food safety training and certificationLower risk

Some jurisdictions require operators to complete infection-prevention training, or to hold specific qualifications for higher-risk services such as tattooing, piercing or electrolysis. These findings mean the training record was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean a client was put at risk.

Recorded once on August 14, 2026. For example: Has the operator notified the RHA of the existence of a personal service business, including contact and location information, as well as all personal services currently offered or new personal services that will be offered for facilities and/or special events?
