- CDI:The pool skimmers were available and in good condition. However, the skimmer baskets had been held in place with weighted tiles. While the tiles secured the baskets, they also held the floating weirs more than 3 inches below the water surface, preventing them from breaking the surface tension and effectively drawing floating debris and other surface contaminants into the skimmers. The weighted tiles were removed during the inspection. The skimmer baskets remained securely in place without the tiles, and the floating weirs were able to rise to the water surface, allowing them to function effectively.---Turnover rate was satisfactory for a swimming pool.Observed flow rate: 133 GPMPool volume: 48,000 gallons48,000 gal ÷ 133 GPM ÷ 60 min/hr = 6.0 hours (240 minutes) Pool was constructed prior to 2006.
