    • 03. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Routine water sample result: HPC: 120 CFU/mlOperator will resample on Wednesday for their regular sampling day
    • 03. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Routine water sample result: HPC > 57,000 CFU/mlClose the pool from public use immediately. Shock chlorinate the pool. After shock chlorinating, backwash the filter. Re-balance the water chemistry to bring the free chlorine level to at least 1.0ppm. The pool can then be re-opened to the public.Resample on your regular sampling day

    • 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
      • Anti-entrapment plan was submitted in 2019, require updating when new covers installed, include SVRS unit as well. Pumps:1 Hayward WhisperFlo WFE-3 ¾ HP. Max flow rate 70 gpm - when filter bypassed. When filters not bypassed 56-59 gpm through filter. Pump curve max run out about 90 gpm. Operational flow 43 gpm to meet turnovers. Submerged suction outlets (interconnected) - Covers Expire in 2024Two Main drains – covers Waterway 640-47 9X 9’ x 9’ grate, floor application max flow 289 gpm - certificate of compliance provided. Drains are over 26 inches apart. Manufacturer’s hardware used to install covers into sump frame. Please note current covers are not compatible with sumps as sump depths are not met as per manufacturer's installation requirements. Sumps x 2 (interconnected)Field fabricated sumps. Overall sump depth 11 1/8". Depth 3 5/8 inches from bottom of cover to top of 3-inch horizontal pipe that exits the sump. Photos/drawing and measurements provided. Sumps and frames are evaluated annually. Main drain covers must be compatible with sumps. SVRS in place for added protection - not a requirement as there are two interconnected main drains and they are over 26 inches apart. SVRS are to reduce physical entrapment risk, not hair entanglement. Please test SVRS according to manufacturer's specifications and keep records. Equalizer line has cover in place. No submerged vacuum ports. Action:Install sump compatible main drain covers prior to the season opening in 2024.. Update anti-entrapment plan and provide copy to health inspector by October 31, 23

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Filters:Hayward filter #06632. Filtration area 2.84 sq ft. Maximum flow 49.7 gpm. The number of turnovers is being met and the maximum flow rating for the filter is not being exceeded. However, the Maximum rate of filtration: 49.7 gpm / 2.84 sq ft = 17 gpm/sq ft is above the Pool Standards of 15 gpm/sq ft . Please reduce the flow to 43 gpm to meet the max rate of filtration in the Pool Standards. This will give a turnover of every 15 minutes 634 gal/43 gpm = 15 minutes. You can run at the the turnover rate that is equal to a hot tub, but the limitations of the equipment cannot be exceeded, and the operation of the pool must be within the requirements of the Pool Regs and Pool Standards. Skimmers are cleaned daily. Filters are backwashed when difference in pressure between clean and soiled filter is 10-15 psi. Action:Please reduce the flow down to 43 gpm to be within the maximum rate of filtration of gpm/sq ft. Please send a photo of the flow meter when the flow has been reduced and I will send an updated inspection report.
