      • The facility currently utilizes a bathroom sink for cleaning semi-critical instruments. It is imperative to install a dedicated sink exclusively for the cleaning of semi-critical instruments to reduce the risk of contaminating these instruments.

      • - The home-based facility did not have the required test strips to test for the minimum effective concentration of the high-level disinfectant. Please ensure to acquire the high-level disinfectant test strips to ensure the minimum egffective concentration for adequate disinfection of instruments is acheived.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • - The home-based facility did not have the required high-level disinfectant monitoring log sheet. Templates of the AHS high-level disinfectant log sheet were provided to the owner during the inspection.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • - The facility is currently using an intermediate level disinfectant (ie. PRE-empt RTU) for semi critical instruments. Please ensure to acquire a high-level disinfectant for the disinfection of semi critical instruments.
