Therefore, the flow rate cannot exceed 100 gpm (which will result in the rate of filtration 13.97 gpm/ft2), if the chemical and microbiological parameters can be maintained, or the flow rate must be lowered to 90 gpm to provide the rate of filtration 12.5 gpm/ft2.
